Mama do the hump

Last night this song came on and I have not stopped dancing like James Corden in the video since, brushing my teeth with one hand and doing that strange movement with the other. Even as I type now the chorus is going round and round my head and I find my hips moving!

Fittingly today is Mother's Day in the UK. I wonder how many mums are doing 'the hump'. Why do we have these days to show appreciation to our family, friends and loved ones? Surely we should show it all year round? I know the argument is that in today's fast past life it is easy to forget about those we care most about, but to me big gestures on days where society dictates that you do so means nothing compared to the small things that are done daily for me, a surprise cup of tea from a friend, a glancing look that reassures you things will be OK and even putting up with my constant sing and dancing to Mama do the hump and joining in with me! I guess the purpose of the post is to say, enjoy life and make time to show your appreciation all year round, not just on one day out of 365! Some of the greatest gifts are memories so lets get making!
